Why did I write this book?

Every morning I wake up, one of the things I am thinking about and praying for is a handful of people who feel far away from the Lord. These are people I grew up with and people I love. These are people whose pain and hurt I have felt and carried. And I think of James 5:19-20, “My dear friends, if you know people who have wandered off from God’s truth, don’t write them off. Go after them. Get them back and you will have rescued precious lives from destruction and prevented an epidemic of wandering away from God (MSG).” The Lord has placed these brothers and sisters as well as the words to speak to them on my heart for many years. This book is about going after them and rescuing precious lives. I can’t wait.

This book is great for parents, youth leaders and anyone who cares about young people. Very insightful analysis of what young people are experiencing today.

Second Chance Review:

"I always say that "Church is in my heart" and I say it because I have had no desire to go to church otherwise. Since I was a child who went to Catholic school for 9 years, as well as church as often throughout, church in my adulthood was no longer an urge or wish. I hadn't given up on my faith but I did feel like an outsider and felt that when I attended funerals, or weddings... I simply didn't understand.

Then I pick up this book, and it's as if someone was listening to my thoughts and feelings this whole time and answered and understood my concerns within the first few paragraphs!!! It happened as only God can make it happen. A "coincidence" -- I highly doubt it -- simply... a miracle.
This book is written so you understand, in every kind of situation, why God has not given up on you and why you shouldn't give up on him. The title says it all, GIVING FAITH A SECOND CHANCE... Don't be turned off by the church's politics and condescending sermons, I promise this book doesn't do that, in the least! This book will help you find the light again at the end of that spiritual tunnel! Enjoy, as I am....."
